The gusher in the Gulf Coast. An opinion on the oil leak. How do you make a bad situation worse?

Now that millions of gallons of oil are spreading all over the Gulf Coast destroying animals, natural habitats, employment, enjoyment, and killed eleven souls - How do you throw a match on it?
If you are the BP executive you tell everyone you wish you “could just get your life back”. And if you are some illiterate wanna be political aficionado you make it all about the incompetence of the President.
Perspective and Information are the principles lacking in this case.
It is necessary to invoke perspective when bad situations occur to give us right relation on a macrocosmic level. I am sure that the BP guy has it tough, but not as tough as those dealing with all the aforementioned issues regarding this devastating event. Perspective lets us see the bigger picture and provides right relation to the word around us.
Knowledge is power. Lack of Information makes us feel powerless. When we are powerless we react in irrational ways. The President has been unfairly mucked with the sludge of this situation. He is being perceived as not hard enough, not emotional enough, not doing enough. I for one am grateful that he is remaining stable and systematic with this not being the only problem going on in this country and in the world. I am glad that he has worked from behind the scenes to make BP continue to work in a prudent manner, that he has not egotistically taken over the situation and forced the full brunt of the economic cost on to the taxpayer.
We must stay positive and productive at times like these. We are responsible for ourselves, that is we are “able to respond”. We can pray for the lost souls. We can pray for all things Mother Nature. We can pray for the executives and engineers at BP. We can Pray for the D.C. think tanks. We can pray for the poor people of the Gulf Coast area. We can send supplies, well wishes, cards of hope, and other tangible needs to the people devastated by this or their surviving relatives.
What spiritual boom can you enact to stop the spread of the issues related to the oil spill?
What can you do to extinguish the negative flames arisen from this catastrophic dilemma?
